Bracketing in +/- 1 Stop or +/- 2 Stop?
08/25/15 at 10:28:45

Hallo eveybody,
with new drsl camera with a great High Dynamic range, should be shoot bracketing always  -/+ 1 stop, -/+ 2 stops, -/+ 3 stops or we can easily shoot directly  -/+ 2 Stops, -/+ 4 stops, and so on...?
I mean, in the traditional method, we have to take, at least, 3 series of shots, covering a -/+ 3 stops. Shooting with -/+ 2 Stops, -/+ 4 stops, we can cover a -/+ 4 stops... only with two series of shots...! Cheesy

Thanks for a reply!

I've had good results up to 2 EV.  Beyond 2 EV the 32 bit engines start breaking down.  If I need more than what the 2 EV range will support then I need a tripod.  Then using 3 EV: take one sequence; step up the exposure 1 EV for another sequence; step up one more EV and repeat; then step down 2 EV for the next scene Cool.
