V-Ray for Maya Dome light template

There seems to be a problem with the rotation expression of the environment placement.

Env Placement: sIBL_lighting_VRayPlaceEnvTex.horRotation = -(sIBL.rotateY-90);

Refl Placement: sIBL_reflection_VRayPlaceEnvTex.horRotation = -(sIBL_feedback.rotateY-90);

Seems it tries to get its value from the wrong node.

Also it seems like the gamma and intensity multipliers are ignored for the reflection file and the env file.

Well hacked a fix for the second post into the script. Seems to work pretty well and was not so difficult.

Don't know if it is worth sharing.

How difficult is it to clone that template, so I do not have to edit the native one. With an update my changes would be lost for me.

I will do an update this weekend and double check the expressions are correctly connected. Seems trivial to fix Smiley

There are some more changes, that you might want to skip, as they are personal preferences.
A difference check with the original version would help.

For example I add gamma settings to the ldr background image for proper lwf rendering.

Updated the Template and fixed the expression although I didn't find the issue with the controls.

If you have an sIBL set where the multiply or gamma of either the environment or the reflection is different then 1.0, then the values do not get set in the sIBL_controls node.
In my version that was fixed.

Oh right I see what you mean, yeah I never used those parameters because they made sense in the past when it was hard to render in linear, the idea was to compensate for that by altering the gamma / gain of the HDR file at render time using the value of the IBL Set. They are legacy parameters really, at least that's how I handle them Smiley ( Correct me if I'm wrong Christian Smiley )

I use them to make some slight adjustments to the env and reflection to match the tonemapped background.
