OCC Circuit board redesign -> Rev. 3.30
04/04/11 at 19:59:12

Hello together,

some time has passed til the last update of the board.

Driven by numerous mails and comments in the forum, i again revised the layout of the occ.

The now new Rev. 3.3 was designed for easyer soldering of the LED, the oszilator and the three wires of the shutter release cable. The pins p1 to p3 are closer together.

Furthermore the recesses in the circuit plate were considered so they fit in the original mountingpoints of the GBA Twisted case. Thus also minimizes the modification of the inside of the GBA Twisted housing.

Please consider the new positions and polarisation of the parts. The layout is complete different from further versions!

A complete documentation will follow.

Here allready the new layout, the solderstop mask and the assembly map.

All used parts are the same as further revisions

thanks Steve,

the housing is from an old GB Game Pokemon Pinball. I had to modify the front of the bottom part to make it working with the DS lite GBA slot. Itīs only my test unit Smiley

Hi Achim,

Is there some place I can buy one of these boards pre-made? I noticed the circuitboardstogo site does not list your latest version. Instead it lists v3.2c as the latest.

Since you are saying that your design is "the new standard" I would like to go with the v3.30 but I would like to buy it pre-made.

Any advice would be most helpful. Thanks,

Dan.

Hello,
I've been reading up on how to DIY the circuitboard over the past week or so, and ordered all the parts online.

I've tried ordering from circuitboardstogo but it seems they're out of the thin 1/32" material.

Are there any other board printing options?

southern California. orange county. I heard radio shack carries DIY kits for circuit boards but haven't had a chance to check if they carry the 1/32" boards.

Does anyone know where I can get Rev.3.3 boards made?
circuitboardstogo.com does not have any available and seems to be having supply issues.
Thanks for your help
