just dug this up, i find it interesting and the idea very simple, that over a space of time it counts up the light falling on the TINY light sensor and lets go of the shutter as soon as it has had a predetermined/set amount.
is this possible to see some integration of this to the OCC set-up we already have to the intervalometer programme?

I think we can add a simple photoresistor to one of the analog inputs and monitor for light changes.
This looks like it might be a way to add USB ptp without the vinculum chip:
