Hi,

Some Cosmetic Update for Maya Templates, Smart IBL Controls are now on an Annotation instead of the Feedback Sphere.

I also figured out how to use the mip_matteshadow in XSI, I will be able to apply it to the Template.

Hi o/

Most of Maya Templates have been updated, it's mostly some Code Refactoring ( Changed a lot of Functions Names ).

There is also a new Template for RenderMan For Maya.

Hi,

I added Color Bleeding Option for the sexiness of it to the RfM Template, with creation of the associated Bake Pass.

ok, this is a zip with working templates for MR, Vray and scanline renderer.

I also included the OLE connection script which have to be copied into the max/scripts/startup Folder. ...then the connection to the sIBL-GUI should work.

For all vray dudes: have a look at the code and you understand how it works and how you can fix the maxscript to vray problem.

Do you think it's possible to add the maxscript to the installer of siblgui?

..oh ..and would you mind to upload the 3d model of the sample images as dxf or 3ds .. i always wanted a scene to compare the different renderer

I'll put the Startup Script on the First Page of this Thread, and specify its link in the Template docs ( I did some Temporary ones for now ).

I prefer for now keeps separate the Helper Scripts ( Maya / Max / XSI ) from sIBL_GUI itself, it's easier to maintain for me.

And for the model, are you speaking about the Mesh used in the Maya Renders ?

Hello Kel,

I just started looking into it. Many cool options in Houdini. Mantra(PBR/Micropoly/AO), Renderman, Mental Ray, and Maxwell.
We should obviously start with Mantra! Smiley

I'm reviewing the framework and templates now to get a sense.

I released new versions of the Maya Helper Scripts :

One is for Maya 2008 / 2009 / 2010 :

Helper Script for Maya 2010 and under : sIBL_GUI_For_Maya.zip

And the other for Maya 2011 :

Helper Script for Maya 2011 and higher : sIBL_GUI_For_Maya_Qt.zip

Hi,

Just a quick post to announce that I'll support myself 3dsMax Templates from now.

VRay and MR ones are already available for sIBL_GUI 3 Beta.

They both feature a Viewport Visual Feedback like on Maya and XSI so it's easy to orient the IBL the way you want. They also setup in one click the scene ( Loading up the renderer, setting up the globals, etc), you basically output the loader script and the scene is ready to render.
