Hello o/

I tried to launch XSI on my Ubuntu yesterday, it didn't started back, I'll try again tonight :|

I think you are maybe encountering the same problems as me, what is your XSI Linux Version ? I have uploaded a Template with "Error Catch Code" commented so you'll get printed the line where the Template crash.
Copy it in your sIBL_GUI Templates Folder of the XSI Addon.
It should be something like : "Addons/sIBL_GUI_For_XSI/Application/Plugins/sIBL_GUI_Windows/Templates/XSI/7.0"

Mmmh :|
Can you send me this file please : /tmp/XSI_Temp_3888/sIBL_XSI_Import.js
I need to check what can be wrong in it, it's the loader script exported from sIBL_GUI.
Thx !

KS

Edit : Well actually scratch that, there is something in the code that seems to not run on linux from what it seems :

Can you try execute this Javascript snippet please ( My XSI Linux is still not working :[ ) :
Code:
var sceneSIBLGroup = Application.ActiveSceneRoot.FindChild("sIBL");
if (sceneSIBLGroup == undefined)
{
	Application.LogMessage("Test Passed !")
}

Can you try this :

Code:
var sceneSIBLGroup = Application.ActiveSceneRoot.FindChild("sIBL");
if ( typeof( sceneSIBLGroup )  == undefined )
{
	Application.LogMessage("Test Passed !")
}

If that's ok I'll update the template !

Double Check, the "If" Part is differerent from before Smiley

From

Code:
if (sceneSIBLGroup == "undefined")

To

Code:
if ( typeof( sceneSIBLGroup )  == undefined )

Code:
sIBLGroup.AddChild(cFeedback);

with
Code:
if ( typeof( sceneSIBLGroup )  == undefined )

I'll get me a fresh XSI Installation and try fix all this.
undefined is a type and javascript word, it should not need the quotes :|

Code:
// One method to test if an identifier (x) is undefined.
// This will always work, even if x has not been declared.
if (typeof(x) == "undefined"){
   // Do something.
}

Code:
// Another method to test if an identifier (x) is undefined.
// This gives a compile-time error if x is not declared.
if (x == undefined){
   // Do something.
}
