Hi Kel,

Again massive thanks for all this, I know you'll have to spend some serious amounts of time on this.
Great new features, sIBL is really growing up  Smiley

Will definitely DL and test in the coming days.

rob

edit:

Kel, could it be when you're running sIBL from the server the helppages are not displayed? It works when I install it locally, but not from the server, no matter what kind of path I try to set.  Embarrassed

Hi Rob !

I fixed the problem with Windows Server Path and Manual / Help Files. It's a Qt problem, where the Url Slashes are changed from "\" to "/" and the QWebView does'nt understand a path like this "file://Server/" from what it seems.

The next sIBL_GUI 2.0.7 Release will correct this behavior.

i have a question about the ground plane that is created in xsi vs maya... in xsi it creates a goudn plane for the shadow in maya it doesn't need one what is the difference in workflow

edit:  i just noticed that in maya it renders the shadow only

Hi Smiley

Yes Maya Template has a mip_matteshadow Shader applied onto the ground, it's something doable in XSI I think, I didn't really looked into it since I didn't had any user request for it, but I'll do a pass on the XSI Template soon to make it at level compared to Maya.

Hello Smiley

XSI_MR Template has been updated, offering the same ( nearlly ) features than Maya Template :

- Shadow Catching Ground ( The difference with Maya one being that I didn't managed to connect the Environment Branch into its Background Slot, so it's currently a Transparent Background, every Object crossing the Plane ill show otherside ).
- Smart IBL Controls ( Property available in the sIBL Group ).
- Display Layers ( So you can easily Show / Hide Smart IBL Scene Components ).
- Code Refinements ( Cleaned some Fucntions ).

Shadow Catching Ground

...

Smart IBL Controls

...

The Template is available from the Online Updater Smiley

Enjoy !

Hi,

1.5.1 Corrected a bug I introduced during the Refactoring, basically the "Exectue Loader Script" Menu Entry of XSI Addon was broken because of that.
I changed by error the name of the output script :

Code:
OutputScript = @OutputScript | sIBL_XSI_Import.js | String | Output Script

to

Code:
OutputScript = @OutputScript | sIBL_XSI_MR_Import.js | String | Output Script

I have rendered some 100 frames of animation with the new tamplate using the smart IBL controls... I adjusted gain and gama for all 3
backgorund cc, reflection cc and lighting cc....

Seems like everything is rendering right in the render region but rendering to disk it looks like the gama and gain are not taken into consideration.  Is this post effect or?  I loaded the sequence in flipbook

Thanks

No the parameters are driving Nodes Attributes Values in the Environment Shaders Branches.

Except for a problem where the expressions connecting the Controls to the Nodes Attributes are not evaluated I don't really see what could be preventing the correct output. I'll check that.
