I have been looking at the gallery at Flickr
Could anyone give me some insight into the process and settings that would produce shots like
"Broadmore Fantastic 4" "promise of a new day" Docked" and "reflections of the past"
There is not contact information on the site so I do not know how to contact the shooter.
I just have not been able to duplicate that feel of those shots.
Thanks in advance
Perry

Hi,

It is a bit less obvious, but when you click on the thumbnail titles on this flickr "zeitgeist" gallery, it will take you to the original Flickr site of the photographers. I wish my web authoring tool would allow me to credit the photographers directly (already put in a feature request).

But yeah, the short answer is: This look is made with Local Tonemapping Operators. Such as seen in Photomatix, FDRTools, Dynamic Photo HDR and Artizen HDR. The Local Adaptation method in Photoshop CS3 as well. Check out the Tools page for download links.

Cheers,
Blochi

PS: I removed your duplicate post in the "General talk" forum.
