I proudly present the initial beta release.
www.Blochi.com/gfx/sdr/SDR_Import.zip Grab the zip and install it like a Plugin. You also need to add a button in Menu config ... You know the deal... The Script requires LScript Version 2.6 - So you need the latest LW7.5.
Also, you need this SDR Library:
www.Blochi.com/gfx/sdr/Library.zip Place this anywhere you want, but remember where you put it. I recommend your Texture Collection folder or something... On first launch the Import script will ask you for the path. If you are working on a network, make sure this path is always the same.
ATTENTION:
Check out the script in a testing environment first. Like a dedicated content folder. DO NOT use it on any sensititive or important data. SAVE you scene and your objects before you execute the script. Remember, this is a Beta Release, and things might go wrong. I DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA.
That beeing said, here are the feature highlights:
- Big preview pane, live and in color.
- Performs Library Scan on launch, allows easy extending of Library.
- Creates Background Dome geometry in LW.
- Configures the Texture Environment with a Diffuse HDRI.
- 3 choices of SUN light: Distant/Spotlight/Spinning Spotlight.
- Creates a big handle, that rotates them all together.
- Full In-line help.
- If launched several times, it will only modify the environment instead of adding a duplicate.
(might be still buggy)
Future features on my list:
- setup Reflection Maps.
- stability.
- support for Lightprobe format, maybe Horizontal/Vertical Cross.
- improved stability.
- support Sub-paths in Content Directory structure.
- rock solid stability.
