Title: DS SOFTWARE RELEASE: Clock based intervalometer
Post by admin on 10/09/08 at 08:43:11
This program allows you to start a shot anytime in the next 24 hours, set timed intervals, and adds "shot insurance" which takes 2 images in case something or someone happens to be in the wrong place during the first photograph. Save the program to your SD card...happy shooting:

Question:

How does your software deal with the battery limitations if I need to shoot over a 24 hour period. I don't believe the battery life of an Nintendo DS is that good.

Does, it go to sleep and preserve power? and wakes itself up before it is time for the next photo?

Just curious... and would like to before I really need to use this on a shoot.

Thanks!

Kirt

All the shots I did were plugged into the mains. (Sorry, I spend a lot of time with Sparks in Watford. You yanks would call it "plugged into a wall socket.") The DS does allow software to turn off the screen backlight, I will program that into the next rev. This should allow you to get around 12 hours of shooting on battery, or much longer using the battery pack described here in another post.

No programming in under one-minute increments? Is that coming soon?

Yes, that should be added. I'll get on it.
