Hi,

I am very impressive by your software PictureNaute...I just want to know if your software is or will be open source or not!

Many thanks!

Let me answer for Marc here, although it ultimately is his decision.

Picturenaut is not and won't be open source, it stays Marc Mehl's own program and will be maintained by himself. However, Picturenaut really is just some sort of framework where the tonemappers and HDR generator are plugged in. This framework will be accessible through an SDK - this is what Marc was working on for the last couple of months. And if we all say please, he might throw in the source for his tonemapper as an example. :) The SDK will enable you to write your own Picturenaut plugins, that run seamlessly integrated and interactive.

Hope this makes sense.
Marc can explain these things much better...
